: Bamboo type: Clumping bamboo, densely clumping
Culm sheaths: Upto 20 × 11 cm, apex rounded, rough dorsal surface, shiny ventral surface, lower culms with aerial root,  leaf blade narrow and pointed, ligules present, thin and papery, young culms brownish
Leaves: Lanceolate, linear, arrow shaped, broad, not smooth, upto 28 cm × 4.5cm, apex pointed, mid rib clearly visible from both the surfaces
Stems: Rootlets in lower internodes, secondary branches many and clumping
Internode distance: Upto 38 cm
Thorniness: Absent
