Stem: Greyish white, later turns into brownish black, smooth in young, old stems rough.

Leaves: Bipinnate, pinnae 4 to 10 pairs, leaflets 14 to 30 pairs
Flowers: Yellow to pale yellow, stamens infinite
Inflorescence: Heads in terminal panicles
Fruits: Pods, flat and hairy
